Assemblies
Local, professional vendors are invited to speak or perform to inspire students to make good choices, be kind, use their imagination to write or as they read, and be resourceful. Our vendors this year are as follows: No Drug-Abuse/ Bullying by Brock Edwards, Imagination Machine, Annie Bananie, and Street Beat.
Back to School Picnic
Students, parents, teachers, and staff are invited to an evening of dancing and fun to kick off the school year! There will be light refreshments, spirit wear for purchase, PTA membership sign up, and music played by a professional DJ!
Book Fair
Book Fair is a week-long event that unites kids with literature and brings the community together in honor of that mission. Book Fairs give children a motivation to read by offering them a wide selection of age-appropriate books to choose from that they can look at before purchase. Hosting a book fair gives parents and kids an opportunity to choose and read books together, which promotes the love and joy for reading. Book Fairs not only give teachers a chance to select books for their classroom wishlist, but the proceed of book fairs helps support our very own school library. More information to come on specific times and location of the Book Fair.
Carnival
Bring the whole family for a fun-filled evening! There will be three zones to explore: Fun Zone, Activity Zone, and Food Zone. The Fun Zone offers free game booths for our CV students to participate in. The Activity Zone will feature a climbing wall, bubble balls, obstacle course, face painting and more!! The Activity Zone is open to both adults and children to enjoy. The Food Zone will have quick bites, refreshing drinks, and yummy treats. Flyers and more information to come home in conduits after Spring Break.
Field Day
Students end the school year by having fun with games and activities planned by PTA volunteers and school staff.
International Night
This event bridges the gap among the unique cultures within our school and brings our community of parents and children together. It also serves as an educational yet fun night for everybody, where we can learn about the cultures represented at our school by sampling traditional food, working on cultural arts and crafts, and watching fashion shows from various nationalities.
Musical Theater
An after school program that teaches students the positive aspects of Theater and Arts through the process of auditions, rehearsals, script reading, singing and choreographed movement. Students will rehearse over a period of several weeks and showcase their hard work in performances for a live audience at school.
New Family Welcome
The purpose of this event is to help new incoming families transition better to our school by providing them with useful information relating to, school staff, PTA membership, programs, volunteering, designated parking areas, pick up/ drop-off locations/procedures, and a better feel of the campus layout.
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and bullying prevention awareness campaign. This year’s national theme is “LIFE IS YOUR JOURNEY, TRAVEL DRUG-FREE”. Students participate in a number of fun activities throughout the week, such as dressing up in daily clothing theme, signing Red Ribbon Pledge cards, completing worksheets, bringing/exchanging pennies and having fun at our photo booth.
PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based the theme. Click here for more details.

A program for TK and Kindergarten students that utilizes a sequential, ordered process that teaches art using a methodology specifically designed to improve student perception, visualization, and organizational skills. As a result, students show dramatic improvement in their drawing abilities, expand their art vocabulary and art history knowledge, demonstrate patience, discipline, and focus, and improve their attention to detail and sequencing skills. This program is taught during school hours.
4 Kids By Kids, a Student Marketplace
At Cypress Village Elementary, it's never too young to be an entrepreneur! This program encourages the young and budding business-minded to try their hand at putting up their small business, learning how to market it, and selling their products at our very own CV Marketplace. Children are encouraged to donate 10% of their profits to a charity of our choice, and PTA matches the total donated amount!
